"Took a great tour today of Harwich's newest natural wonder - the recently cleared "hollow" at Brooks Park - towering spruce trees ring an ancient dried kettle pond - a perfect place for meditation and a natural amphitheater for music. It's an energy vortex in Harwich Center. "

"We used to have a lot of fun playing capture the flag in the hollow when I was a kid. It's a great place! After tennis lessons, I would go to the "hallow", and write poetry in a serene environment. "

"We used to go sledding down the hills in winter time, hang out with our friends during the adults bandstand. In summer time it was often 20 degrees cooler under the canopy of spruce and hardwood trees, and we would go to "Love's Hollow" to with our dates to make-out. It was the riteS of passage, sacred place from our youths."
