Ethan Pilling's Cape Cod Oven in Harwich!

This outside Bread Oven,  was just completed in Harwich by Environmentalist Ethan Pilling, and friends. 

The Cape Cod Outdoor Oven has a base of Harwich granite field stones, Cape Cod ocean clay, which is gray then is bleached white by the sun.  The straw based arched dome is covered in layers of wet clay.  The dome construction was researched by Ethan and has been engineered as to the relationship of height and width of oven.  Very cool and warmly received. Thanks Ethan for letting us see and share in your earthly community minded endeavors.
